TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CHECK IN
Check in is available between 2pm – 10pm, 7 days a week. Please inform the hotel at the earliest convenience should you be arriving out with these hours to ensure that our staff are available. Check ins after midnight are liable to surcharge.

RECEPTION ENQUIRIES
Reception is only manned between the hours of 9am – 10pm, any enquiries out with these hours can be made via email. We will look to respond to your enquiry as soon as possible.

CREDIT CARD
A credit card is required to confirm all reservations and a valid card must be supplied at check- in for all arrivals. We accept all major credit cards except American Express.

DEPOSITS
100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking subject to a £2 charge for all debit and credit cards.

OUTSTANDING BALANCES
All guests are required to settle all outstanding balances the evening before they leave. The hotel provides a 24/7 reception allowing you deal with the outstanding charges. If balances are not settled prior to leaving the hotel they will be settled using your valid credit card left for your deposit.

CAR PARKING
Car Parking is available directly in front of the hotel (Metered) and in a limited number at the rear of the hotel. Our hotel parking is charged at £5 per day. As there is limited amount of spaces, there may be times where you have blocked in other hotel guests. If this is the case we ask for your corporation in moving your vehicle when asked. Although every reasonable care is taken the Hotel cannot take any responsibility regarding guest’s cars.

Street parking available with a GDC voucher which can be bought at the Kelvin Hotel reception (next door) during check-in.

PETS
Dogs are permitted in a limited selection of rooms, at the discretion of Management. Please telephone to discuss availability. Dogs are charged at £10 per dog per night. Owners are advised that under no circumstances may they leave the dogs unattended in the room and any damage will be chargeable.

V.A.T
VAT is included in all prices.

TOWELS
Towels are provided for in-hotel use.

BREAKFAST
Breakfast times are subject to occasional variation and during our busiest times there may be a wait for a table. Breakfast is available in main dinning hall at the Kelvin Hotel (next door) at a nominal charge.

FOOD ALLERGIES
We can cater for all food allergy types including Gluten free. Please specify your requirements at time of booking as well as on arrival to ensure everything is in place.

ALLOWANCES
No allowances can be made for rooms not being occupied for the full period of the booking or for meals or any other supplements not taken.

VALUABLES
The proprietor cannot be held responsible for cash or valuables unless they are deposited in the Hotel Reception and a receipt obtained.

FIRE SAFETY
The Hotel is up to date with its fire precautions and has been granted a fire certificate.

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Bookings commence at 2:00pm on day of arrival and rooms need to be vacated by 11:00am on departure day. Check-in must be made before 10pm (Unless otherwise pre-arranged with a member of hotel management in writing). Early check-in and late check-out may be arranged at an extra charge. This arrangement can only be made close to the date of the stay and subject to availability.

DAMAGES
The costs of repairing any damage caused to the property, contents or grounds by any of your guests must be reimbursed to the Hotel by the Client. We have the right to charge the card used to make the booking to cover such costs.

SPECIAL OFFERS
Special offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, and if conditions are not met the standard tariff will apply.

BEHAVIOUR
Behaviour of guests and their visitors should not be excessive or rowdy, and must not cause embarrassment to fellow guests. We reserve the right to recover any compensation payment as a result of your actions, or a member of your party or visiting friends. This includes damage to hotel buildings, fixtures and fittings.

GROUP BOOKINGS
Please inform us before arrival if you are travelling in a group of six of more. We reserve the right to refuse unauthorized groups. Large groups may be required to provide an additional deposit at check-in, returnable on departure if unaffected. Should there be any inappropriate behaviour by the group after check-in we reserve the right to discontinue the reservation without refund.

SMOKING
Kelvin operate a strict no smoking policy. If a guest smokes in their room a charge of £50 will be made to their credit/debit card in order to fumigate the room(s), at the discretion of the hotel management.

PARTIES
All parties including stag and hen parties are strictly forbidden at the hotel & Apartments. The hotel/Apartments is for accommodation purposes only. If any such parties are identified, all monies will be confiscated and booking will not be honoured.

USE OF YOUR DATA
By booking with us you give the Kelvin Hotel/Apartments full permission to use your contact information including email and telephone for promotional, marketing and correspondent purposes. All communications from us will come with an opt out option allowing yourself to be removed from further communications at any time.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the date of arrival otherwise your card will be charged the full amount.

AGE
Bookings must be made by a person over the age of 18. At least one guest staying in each room must be over 18 years of age. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation without refund when a guest cannot provide proof of age.

Security
For your safety of belongings, the Kelvin Apartment has a fully installed alarm system. It is anticipated you will make full use of such when the Apartment is vacant. A fob is provided with your key and should you loss such a charge of £25 will be charged. If in any doubt ask the receptionist for help and details.
